119 •After the insulation work is completed, wait 5 days and start the pool tile application at the end of 5 days. •Tightness Test: After the sealing process, a tightness test should be carried out to ensure that the pool does not leak water. 5.System Setup • Filtration System Installation: A filtration system is installed to clean the pool and purify the water. Usually a filter unit placed outside is used. • Water Heating System (optional): If a heating system will be used in the pool, heaters and pipelines are installed at this stage. • Drainage and Discharge System: Drainage pipes and systems are installed to regularly adjust the water level and drain the water. 6. Coating and Surface Finishing • Porcelain Coating Selection: First of all, when choosing pool tiles, porcelain pool tiles, which are the most ideal, most hygienic and durable material for pools, should be preferred. •The pool tile used must be resistant to extreme and sudden temperature changes and frost, •The water absorption rate of the material must be at least below 3 in 1000 (3/1000), •It must be made of quality raw materials and well-fired tiles. Qualified tiles with these features will only be long-lasting and durable for the pool. Therefore, porcelain pool tiles should be selected. You can find the superior properties of porcelain in our article “Why Serapool Porselen?” 7. Pool Tile Adhesive Selection: •Another important material choice is the adhesive. In this respect, a C2TE S1 flex adhesive should be selected. •In adhesive application, the water ratio should be taken into consideration. First of all, the adhesive should be mixed with the appropriate water ratio, then it should be rested for a while. The purpose of resting is for the polymers and chemicals in it to react with each other and form a better structure. •Then, a second stirring should be carried out and the material should be made applicable. • When the material becomes mortar, it should be loaded onto the application surface. After loading, it should be spread on the surface in a linear line with the help of a notched trowel. The reason for this is to prevent the formation of air gaps when the tile and mortar are adhered and to ensure full adhesion. •After the adhesive is applied to the surface, the pool tile application is started. Adhesive must be applied on the back of the pool tile. Thus, the performance expected from the adhesive will be fully realized. 119
