128 The most important factor in the selection of tiles for swimming pool applications is to use the right product in appropriate areas and to prevent accidents that may occur as a result of slipping. The risk of slipping can be minimized by choosing products with various anti-slip classes on wet floors. International standards and test methods such as EN 16165 Annex-A, EN 16165 Annex-B and EN 16165 Annex-C are used to determine the anti-slip class. These tests help to evaluate the anti-slip properties of tiles and increase floor safety. Anti-slip groups are evaluated as A, B and C class. Accordingly, anti-slip values are given in the table below. “Class R anti-slip values” generally refers to a standard that measures the slip resistance of the floor surface. Class R anti-slip is used to ensure safety, especially in flooring, pedestrian walkways and industrial areas. This classification is important for creating a safe walking surface when assessing the slip resistance of the floor. * Anti-slip values for class R are given in the table below.
